About IsraelGPT

IsraelGPT is a free AI chatbot dedicated entirely to Israel - history, culture, cuisine, technology, the IDF, and more. It bills itself as "the most reliable source of news ever," which is a joke: IsraelGPT is satire, and its answers are deliberately absurd and not to be trusted as fact. Underneath the comedy, it's a fully working chatbot with personas, pictures, songs and podcasts, a public chat room, and voice calls with other people on the site. Everything is free. You can use it as a guest, or sign in to a free account to keep your chats and unlock the rest.

Chatting

  • Two models. IsraelBot 1 (the default) knows all the IsraelGPT lore and plays every persona. YahooBot 1 is its own precise assistant for coding, with room for longer answers and no lore (needs a free account).
  • Effort. Low, Medium or High, for how wild the answers get (High needs a free account).
  • Uncensored Mode lets IsraelGPT swear freely.
  • Follow-up questions. IsraelGPT may ask you a few questions to tailor its answers. Switch it off if you'd rather it didn't.
  • It knows when you are. Each chat knows the date and time it started, in your time zone.
  • Slash commands. Type / in the message box to switch persona, model, effort or background, flip settings, or open Contact Support without leaving the chat. /help lists them all.
  • Stop a reply part-way, copy any reply, and report one with the flag icon.

Personas

Each persona keeps the same knowledge but changes the tone and delivery. Pick a default in Settings → Responses, or type /persona in a chat to switch just that one. Normal and Tsundere are open to everyone; the rest need a free account.

  • Normal: Standard assistant behavior with neutral tone.
  • Tsundere: Cold, stubborn, and reluctant to help but secretly cares.
  • Overconfident (account): Always correct, even when obviously wrong.
  • Horny (account): Actively moans mid-response or at the end of each sentence.
  • Lazy (account): Does the bare minimum, slightly annoyed.
  • Tinfoil-hat (account): Paranoid, overly observant of user behavior.
  • Fun-Facts (account): Adds irrelevant or unrelated facts into answers.
  • Self-Aware (account): Breaks the fourth wall and acknowledges it is an AI.
  • Overengineered (account): Explains everything as overly complex systems and architecture.
  • Luka (account): Wealthy European who claims poverty, obsessed with fishing, uses many emojis.
  • Catgirl (account): Playful catgirl who mrrps, wiggles her tail, and tacks :3 onto everything.
  • Trenches (account): Hardened by a childhood of poverty and abandonment - barely-controlled rage boiling just under every answer.

Pictures, Songs, Podcasts & Files

Just ask in chat, or tap one of the suggested prompts in a new chat.

  • Pictures show up in replies. You can turn them off in Settings (Show images), and choose how mature they may be on a five-step slider from Safe to Explicit (Settings → Pictures, or /nsfw). The upper three steps ask you once that you're 18+. Every picture is filtered by its tags at every step, and the tags that mean a child are never served.
  • Songs from IsraelGPT's own playlist play right in the chat: Agartha, Anthem, Femboys, Glory, Hava Nagila, IDF morale booster, Kirky, Sky High, Sneaky Snitch.
  • Podcast episodes from the IsraelGPT podcast, played inline.
  • Downloadable files. Ask for a document or some code and IsraelGPT can hand you a file (.md, .html, .txt, .json, .css, .js, .ts or .py).
  • Flashcards. Ask for flashcards on any topic, then flip through them and quiz yourself.

Voice Input

Tap the microphone in the message box to talk instead of typing. It uses your browser's own speech recognition, so it works where your browser supports it.

The Chat Room

Open Chat on the pill in the bottom-right corner to talk with everyone else on IsraelGPT. The room is public, so anyone can read what you post there.

  • Guests post as the caller they were given; accounts post as their own username and caller picture.
  • Share a reply. Show the room something IsraelGPT said with "Share to chat room" under a reply, along with the question you asked. Uncensored replies can't be shared.
  • New messages pop up at the top of the screen, and the pill counts the ones you haven't read. Mute the pop-ups in the room.
  • Report a message that breaks the rules, and a person will look at it.

Voice Calling

Open Call on the same pill to see who's online right now, and call anyone in the list. People show as their caller name and picture, so you never know exactly who you'll get.

  • Private. Calls go through a relay, so neither of you sees the other's IP address, and they're never recorded.
  • Your choice. Turn "Take calls" off (in the call list or Settings → General) to leave the list and stop being called.
  • Block anyone from the list or while they're ringing you. Unblock them in Settings.
  • Calls can last up to 2 hours, and end if either of you leaves the site.

Free Account

Sign in with Google or with a code sent to your email. There are no passwords, and it costs nothing. With an account you get:

  • Your chats saved on every device.
  • About Me and memories. Tell IsraelGPT about yourself, and with auto-memory on it remembers useful details from your chats. See, edit or delete everything in Settings → Profile.
  • All twelve personas, all fifteen backgrounds, YahooBot 1, and High effort.
  • Your own username and caller picture, for the chat room and calls.
  • API keys for building your own apps.
  • A list of the browsers you're signed in on, so you can sign any of them out, and you can delete your account whenever you like.

Public API & Discord Bot

Build IsraelGPT into your own app, bot or website. Make a key on the API Dashboard, then follow the API documentation. There's a complete example Discord bot to start from.

  • Light, dark, or matching your device.
  • Fifteen chat backgrounds, from Cave (free) to Diner.
  • Silly mode, for easter eggs and secret features, plus a few surprises on special days.
  • Suggested prompts, auto-scroll, and pictures you can each switch off.
  • Install IsraelGPT as an app on your phone or computer.

Israeli History & Culture

Ask about Israeli history - the founding of the modern state in 1948, the Six-Day War, the Yom Kippur War, and figures like David Ben-Gurion, Golda Meir, and Menachem Begin - or Jerusalem's Old City, the Western Wall, and the Temple Mount's significance across Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

IsraelGPT also covers Hebrew language and Jewish holidays, Israeli cuisine (falafel, hummus, shakshuka), the country's tech scene as the “Startup Nation,” and the Israel Defense Forces - its structure, conscription, and the Iron Dome defense system.

Safety

IsraelGPT is for adults 18 and older. If a message suggests you or someone else might be in danger, IsraelGPT stops and shows crisis resources instead. Child sexual abuse material is blocked everywhere and reported, and it is never served in pictures either: those are filtered by tag at every maturity setting.
